Ok so I have a Samsung delve that I got about a year ago for christmas.

Even though I've only owned one other phone which was still 100 times crappier amazingly, I can say without a doubt that this is probably the crappiest smartphone ever.

It looked good at the beggining but after having for a year it is the most unpersonalizable device made, it's pretty much an average cell phone with a touch screen and bad html browser

The problem is that the screen is so scratched up I can hardly see it.

This is not due to utter neglect, I won't even keep my cell phone in the same pocket as my keys, which leaves it to make the same pocket as mu ipod touch.

The thing is simple made without any though and the screen is terrible, the picture quality is terrible for what it is too.

Alltel being sold to verizon is perhaps the best thing to happen to the company.

Now to the original question, can I go to my alltel or verizon, whichever it's name is now and have my phone traded in for a newer phone while staying on the contract.

I would be looking towards trading it to a droid eris possibly

The phone (delve) without the contract originally was like $400-500
EDIT

If the iphone ever comes to verison I might switch to that too
