Can I replace my 84 Dodge Ramcharger's carburater with a fuel injection system?

My Rams carburater is going out and I was wondering if I should replace it or just get a newer system? Also, How much is it to fix an oil leak under the hood? The ram leaks and whenever I start it up at first it will give off white smoke

a fuel injection system can easily run you 5 grand, or more, and you'd still have to set up the engine to handle it.... that means a new intake, that means custom programmming for the computer to handle it, and you would still need to fix and resolve whatever other issues this engine has before you get the add ons working right...

I dont know of any 84 Dodge that would justify that kind of cash outlay...
