Can I replace a 2005 Chevy Malibu gas cap with a cap from an older Malibu?

I need a new gas cap for my '05 Malibu. There are several Malibus at the local junkyard, but they are a 1998 and a 1999 model. Does anyone know if those gas caps would fit? Or is there another comparable gas cap that would work?
