"rear SMPS cable"? The sticker on the back of the TV says I should but the manual instructions on how to replace a dead lamp says Nothing about a SMPS cable. I replaced the lamp in my dad's ancient JVC TV simply popping out the old and in with the new. Both TV's have virtually identical lamp chassis'
As long as I'm not putting my life at risk I'm comfortable rolling the dice and replacing the lamp w/o having to tear into the guts of my TV.
