I have a 1995 Dodge Stealth (same as 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT) with the upgraded OEM Infinity sound system. I need more space for my gadgets and electronics in the car, so I was wondering if I could remove the stock radio and somehow wire in an AUX input cable that connects to the stock amp so that I'm able to still get sound to the speakers through an Ipod/whatever. The car is more of a toy/project for me so I rarely drive it, so having no radio or anything won't be a problem, aka I want the cheapest solution possible for the sound. I just want the AUX-in as an option for when I have someone else in it, so we aren't sitting in silence.
Would this be a good idea? Would it work but be a bad idea? Would it not work at all?
