Can I reformat more than once to factory image on my dell vostro?

HI I recently had a problem with my pc and I had to use the reformat using the dell option of hitting f12 and using the hiddden partition that was on the pc already. Sorry to sound very stupid here, but if I run into another issue and have to reformat again will I still be able to do that again since it was very easy? or is once you use the hidden image the factory image is no longer available and has been used up? i guess Im asking if the hidden partition stays intact and just gets copied or is it moved and no longer usable? thanks in advance
