I have seen that some cameras can do it and use the computer as a memory bank where I would not have to worry about memory space on my camcorder. But using the USB on this camera doesn't give me the option, even when I use my laptop running on Windows 7. I have also tried connecting it through the mini HDMI cable, and the computer doesn't even recognize the camera being plugged in. I am beginning to wonder if this camera can even record straight to a pc. If so, do I need special software?
