I am trying to receive financial aid but I'm unable to. I was born in another country but one of my parents gained citizenship before I turned 18 years old. Therefore I am a citizen. I have an expired passport but the financial aid office told me that I can't receive it. I don't get it...Just because my passport is expired...I'm still a U.S. citizen...I really need more information about this...please help. Should I be getting aid??
