Can I Really Hike in Sanuks?

I am planning a 14 mile hike in a mountainous area, It is the middle of summer and i don't want to wear heavy boots or shoes. I know Sanuk's advertise that are durable enough for hiking through jungles. But are they good on the feet for 14 miles of hiking in a mountainous region? i'll be hiking the Appalachian trail btw
