Can I Raise the suspension on a Harley-Davidson touring bike?

I know, I know ... most people want to lower their H-D, but I'd like to add more suspension travel so the bike handles bumps better, and to get those floorboards up off the pavement. I didn't see anything at the H-D website. Besides buying a Buell (probably the smart move), what can I do to jack up my Road Glide?

Those must be some wicked bumps where you ride!I have an Electraglide and i've never drug the floorboards on the pavement. It would take longer shocks and fork tubes to raise it higher.Try Progressive suspension for the shocks. The fork tubes can be gotten from any aftermarket supplier like JP Cycles. The fork travel isn't going to be any different because of longer tubes. It will just add ground clearance. The shocks will add travel though.

I would get in touch with the people at WHITE BROTHERS they usually are selling kits to lower H.D. but since they deal with H.D. shocks and suspension they will be able to help you best I think.
