Can I put the android 2.3 system (gingerbread) on my sprint htc hero?

I have a sprint htc hero
Firmware Version: 2.1-update1
Software Version: 2.32.651.2
I heard about the new 2.3 system and I wanted to know if it is compatible with my print htc hero.
