After I finished my Masters in September, I spent 6 months living in the Middle East learning Arabic. I spent most of the time learning with a private tutor, who obviously doesn't count as an accredited university and therefore can't issue certificates.
I want to be able to show on my CV that I wasn't wasting 6 months of my life (as I will potentially need Arabic for my future career path) but it seems wishy-washy because I don't have a tangible qualification. I was thinking of putting it as a bracketed note under Languages but it looks a little messy.
If I do put it under education, any suggestions as to how to phrase it would be appreciate. I thought something like "Private Tuition in Modern Standard and Levantine Colloquial Arabic, Damascus, Syria, Mr. X" might look alright.
Please help! Thanks very much.
