Front brake pads cost maybe $30.. And its like an hour job easy. The front are brake discs, you can change them with basic hand tools no problem. With you driving it, if they are grinding then you are tearing up the rotors "the round shiny part behind the rim" If you chew those up, your looking at up to $80 a pair, and more work taking stuff apart. Dont put anything on your brakes, you need to get them changed or dont drive the car, because before you know is you will be eating someones rear bumper and then your really screwed and its going to cost you "mo money"........
