Can I put non-rechargeable AAA batteries in a Panasonic cordless phone unit?

It came with rechargeable AAA batteries.

Would it be fine to put non-rechargeable batteries, the phone charges on the stand. I just don't want the non-rechargeable batteries to explode lol.
