I have had a Sony VAIO VGC-RA828G since 2003 and it's getting somewhat out of date. It's packing an Intel Pentium 4 560 CPU @3.66GHz with HyperThreading Technology and 2 GB of DDR RAM (maxed out). I'd like to upgrade the CPU which is a PLGA775 socket to maybe a new i3/i5 dual core CPU which would most likely require a new mother board. My questions is would I have to get a specific type motherboard or can I get any mother board that will suit my needs on newegg.com? I'm aware i'll have to change the GFX card and power source and all that.
