Can I put a zoo med heat pad under a sterilite container, & Will it keep my snake warm?

I want to use a eat pad instead of flexwatt under a sterilite container for snake rack cause I DONT HAVE THE RIGHT MONEY RIGHT NOW FOR FLEXWATT lol. help me out here. thanks !
