its a 1997 pontiac grand am se. has a 3.1 v6 in it can i put like a v8 or a 3,4l or 3,8. i want more power i hvae done work to the body, and the body is in good shape.

The 3.4 goes in relatively easy. But don't expect it to simply bolt right in. The engine will mate to the transmission and the engine mounts will match up. But you will need to make come modifications.
The 3.8 may be a problem because it is quite a bit different than the 3.1.

An engine swap is a major undertaking. Do you plan to do the work yourself? If so, you will need tools and alot of time and money.
