Can I put a 20" longs shaft Honda 9.9 on a 14' aluminum with a 15" transom?

I just bought a used Lund 14' aluminum and found a used Honda 9.9 4-stroke. The Honda is a long shaft 20" and the Lund has a 15" transom. I know this is probably not ideal, however will it work? Would I need a jack-plate or will there be some wiggle room in mounting the engine?
