can a child that is called a 5th year senior play high school sports in california, his learning disabilities have always held him back to play, but he is a very good athlete.. how can i get a permit for him to play..please
I don't know how it is in california but in Louisiana you can only "play" 4 years. Now, let's get down to the real story. You can red shirt him 1 year and have him come to all practices and sit on the bench and watch his position. He'll learn the position for one year in practice and watching games but!!!!! If he steps on the field of a game and plays 1 play it's over. You might as well played him all season. Let's face it you usually don't play freshman very much. This way he will begin as a sophomore and you will have him for 2 years as a senior.
But to ma knowledge theyre not allowed to play but maybe in California theyre allowed too but they do this for good reason n whats the disability if its mental then no sorry
