Can I play a game I bought in Singapore on a Japanese Xbox?

I'm buying a Xbox 360 slim for Christmas.
I live in Singapore but my home country is Japan so I was wondering if I can get a Xbox from Japan and buy Black ops from Singapore since Black ops in Japan is censored.
