Can I move out of state while on court probation for a DUI?

I recently got a DUI in CA and got put on 3 years court probation...i do not have to check in, just have to stay out of trouble. Is it ok to move out of state? I got a job offer in Texas and want to take it...any advice would help because I have been unsuccessful in finding information...Thanks!!
 
As long as you are on misdemeanor probation in California you can go wherever you want. Misdemeanor probation does not limit your travel or where you can live. If you're not reporting to a probation officer, you are on misdemeanor probation.

Just make sure you comply with whatever the terms of your probation are such as completing your DUI school, fines or community service. If you don't, you would be in violation of your CA probation and that would follow you to Texas and could have ramifications on your driver's license in Texas.
 
Well if you want to take the risk but CYA! check with the probation dept and inquire about transfer of your situation as it is a dmv issue and you will have your ss # active in another state
