-Premise
So yeah, most people have noticed this but I figured I'd explain. Aside from the length of the cartridge (and software which doesn't matter, yet), there is one simple difference between GameBoy Advance games and other GameBoy games. If you look at the side of the cartridge that goes into the gameboy and compare the two, the GBA cartridge has a notch cut out of each side next to the chip inside, whereas the GB/GBC cartridge does not.
-Idea: Modify the DS or Cartridge
So my idea was to either take a GameBoy cartridge and cut a notch in the top on both sides (with like a power drill >.>) or to take the little notch clamps out of the DS advance cartridge holder. They are 2 little plastic sticks inside there, use a flashlight and you can see.
-Concerns
I dunno if this will work, and I don't have endless amounts of money to pour into finding it out. There may be a button that the advance cartridge presses, or the software of the older games may not work on the DS. So yeah.
-My Main Questions
Has anyone tried this method? If so, what were the results? If successful, how can I do the same without damaging the hardware of the DS or games? Any videos or resources would help too. Thanks.
