Napoleon Bonaparte and Joseph II were two very different men with very extraordinary ideas. They were two figures that stood out amongst all others in era of Enlightenment of European history. However, one of them was to face utter defeat in his attempts, while the other tasted victory. Although many factors may have contributed, it was mainly their own reforms, personalities, and country that would decide the outcomes.
