ride is walking better ?
i do about five to seven mile on a stationary bike in about an half hour how much would that be if i pefer to walk in a park and how much laps should i do

Yes you can lose weight on the stationary bike, but it would be best if you added walking as well to avoid plateaus. Try biking 3 times a week and walking 3 times a week. As for how many laps, nobody can tell you unless we know how big the park is, so I would suggest going by time. 30-60 minutes of brisk walking or cycling (you can talk but would prefer not to) ought to do it. Safe weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week which is likely what you will lose. Oh and remember to drink lots of water and follow a healthy diet. What you eat is just as important as exercise!
