I have taken my car to a transmission shop. He told me that I need to spend $2000 to fix my car and he said that he will return the car in 48 hours. Nonetheless, finally after 4 weeks he called me after so much back and forth with him and said that the car is ready and I can pick it up; however, he said that I pay cash only and I can not test drive the car. I am reluctant to give him the money and because of car the value of the car, I am thinking to leave the car for him. What kind of liability I will have over this car? According to him, I will have 2 years/ 24 months warranty. But this guy treated me so bad and lied to me during the last 4 weeks that I don't want to deal with him any more.
