i bought a 4 foot tank. i want to use river sand and end up putting plants in it, before i put plants and fish in, is there anyway i can just use some fish food to start the ammonia. i have drift wood and a canister filter. Please explain how to do this and how long. i dont want to read websites because they all dont make sense
