It's on the right-hand side as you look at it from inside the car. Does this cable also contain anything else? Like a live feed?
If cutting the cable won't do any harm, where can I get a connector to wire onto the cable to connect it to the replacement head unit?
Yes, Ryan, it's the antenna. Or, more properly, the antannae - because there are two wires involved in radio reception. Therefore it is a coaxial cable.
Thank you John K, for your helpful answer to my question. The head unit I want to put in is a JVC with a threaded female coax connector - do Halfords and the like sell these connectors with male threads?
There is no connector in the car to disconnect easily. The coax snakes off into the main wiring loom for the whole stereo/ventilation system!
