With the new technology of todays cars and computers, am I able to disconnect the battery to my 05 jeep gr cherokee laredo and replace it with another? Or, do I have to go to a dealer and have them do it. I've heard that on some cars, they have to do a bypass type thing to keep power to the computer at all times. I called the dealer, and they said that if I do it on my own, the car may forget some things, but will relearn them as I drive and that I should be fine... but I want to be certain of this before I do it. Dealer can do it for nearly 200 dollars (thats crazy) if I do it myself, I can get it done for just over 70. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.
