I bought a used 2001 dodge dakota sport extended cab truck for a crazy good deal, unfortunately it didn't have any power options OR an air conditioner... I work at a motocross track and need an air conditioner because summer days get extremely hot there and the ride home is even worse after it sits in the sun all day and some times windows down sucks in rain.
Would it be worth it if I got one from the junk yard? I.e. the part its self wiring and dash button, and did the installation myself? A benefit of working in the powersports industry is you make lots of friends with certified mechanics. Would that should be cheaper than having it done in a shop?
