Right this is the case.
I have had a week off work due to back pain and as I am a nursery teacher and most of the children in my class are under 3 the job is physically demanding as you can imagine so considering I am not suppose to bend and hold the children there was no way to be at work when my back is hurting.

So I have a note from the doctor for this week and it is all absolutely fine. I could be back to work the next week but it has just happened to be half term. Now I am going away on half term and has been told by the headmistress that if I go away she will have to take the case to the office and fill in a warning.

Now I fell like she wants to punish me for having a week off which was all absolutely legal as far as paperwork and my rights. Like I said it just happened to be the week before half term.

Now it would be absolutely understandable if she spoke to me and warned me that if I go away and aggravate my health I would be in trouble because a week before I was off to rest but I do not understand how she can threaten me with a formal warning if I go away on my half term!!

It seems mad to me as half term is my private time and I can do whatever I want with my life as far as it doesn't affect my work!! Can I have some of your views on this please as I am really confused ... can I be that wrong?
