i put nuvaring in 4 days ago and i want to have unprotected sex tonight... is it okay because i dont want to get pregnant!!!!! at all! any experiences that you have had with nuvaring would be appreciated! thanks
 
you should have asked your doctor about how soon you can have sex after that ring was inserted. I would go to their website or something.
 
I believe they say wait 2-4 weeks for the ring to be 100% effective. You could always use a VCF as a back-up with a condom. It cant hurt
 
the best thind is to buy a new one and trow away the used one we are all ready over populated we dont need kids jk
 
you should be on the safe side for tonight-just put on the condom, this stuff doesn't portect you from stds which will more likely happen to you over getting pregnant (if your not in a secure relationship) about 50% chance of std in the nation if your having sex.

wtf is with these answers? There was no need to be rude to you.... for all they know, you're married or in a committed monogamous relationship.

If you inserted the ring on the first day of your period, you should be protected already. For some people it takes longer for their cycles to even out and stuff, but it suppresses ovulation quickly. If I were you, i'd wait the full seven days, but really, you should be fine. Talk to your doctor if you still aren't sure.
