I have had trouble with my gas pedal for over a year now. It is a 2001 so it's not part of the recall. But I took it to Good Year last march 2009 who said it was my rotors and cleaned them. In May 2009 I replaced them and the brake pads. However, I have continued having problems. I drive a 5-speed and have tried downshifting to help, both feet on the brake, and the emergency brake. I have had my gas pedal stick (actually it's not even the pedal it's just that the gas accelerates) 4 times now and it's always when I'm over 55 and on a highway like I-95. I'm really scared of something happening. But like I said my year wasn't recalled and I no longer have warranty either. I'm not sure what to do b/c I cannot afford to pay out of pocket for them to check it out.
