Yes its possible. It does cost money ( but you said you could afford that so) i don't know HOW to do it..But i know you could ask the Verizon store. You can buy unlocked ones on eBay or craigslist.
 
Look I just want to know if all possible I could get an iphone? Yeah I have verizon, and yeah I can afford to pay for an unlocked phone. But will it work, and how would i go about doing it. And where can you buy an unlocked iphone?
