Hi, i live in London and i want to make some money. Is it legal to set up a stall in my front garden and sell stuff to people? I doubt it, but hey ,who knows?
also, how does ebay work?

I don't see why that should be illegal. I have had things like Garage Sales in the past and had no problem. eBay works by people putting things on which they wish to sell. They supply a start bidding price and people who wish to buy the item keep bidding. The highest bidder wins the item and it is dispatched to them or they have to collect it (depending on what the seller says about delivery/collection). For example if you have a table on sale and you are the seller and you start the bidding at £100, people then bid say £110, somebody else might big £120 and it can keep going up. The highest bidder at the time the auction ends is the winner. You can also supply a "Buy It Now" price which is where somebody will pay a fixed price (chosen by the seller) and immediately purchase the item. Paypal is the main method of payment on eBay.

Jonathan.
