I've always wanted to have my own business, be my own boss, work from home, etc. I've always loved making/decorating cakes and have been told I have a talent for it. I've considered starting my own at-home business, but I am concerned about legalities.
I understand that I will need to be licensed, which doesn't really concern me. What I'm really worried about is the potential requirement for a separate, commercial kitchen with a three compartment sink and all that jazz, which pretty much destroys the entire "at-home" concept. Does such a thing as an "at-home cake business" exist, legally, in Washington state?
I've already been to the website of licensing and nothing explicitly answers my question. Any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
