Can i have a fish live in half gallon bowl?

ok. i have a half gallon fish bowl. i know thats not very good but my mom wont let me get a tank. Is it okay for a fish to live in this bowl or......do i have to get like a 3 gallon one??? And if they can survive what type of fish, and how often do i have to clean it??
 
dont listen 2 that dope no it cant get a 5gallon heater filter lights he'l b happier if u cant get a tank smash the bowl its of no use
 
Beta Fish can live with little air movement, just one per bowl though because they fight other Beta's. Although, they would be slightly happier in a tank with a filter, you can still keep one in your bowl and clean it every couple weeks. Some people put goldfish in bowls, but I wouldn't recommend putting goldfish without filtration because they are general dirty fish.
