can i go to jail for riding a bicycle while drunk?

I was watching cops just now and some dude got arrested for being intoxicated while riding a bicycle. I thought you could only get arrested for operating a motor vehicle not a bicycle.
lol thats funny. Do they suspend your bicycle lock for 30 days too
no one can catch me on my bicycle... im like the matrix. brooooooom broooom
 
yes you can get a DUI. Even if its harming you more, you riding a bike still puts others at risk. What if you were to ride out on a busy street and someone trys to swerve around you & ends up hitting another vehicle or an object?

They wont suspend your bicycle riding, but you will go to jail, have to pay a fine & have a DUI on your record
 
Yes you can get a DUI on a bicycle or in a boat or even on a horse. There was a famous case some years ago in Virginia or somewhere, a guy was coming home from a party on a horse and he got pulled over for drunk driving. His defense was that the horse knew the way home, he was just the passenger. But he got convicted anyway.

Public drunkeness is a crime too, but DUI is more serious.
