Can I go from pre algebra to geometry and skip algebra 1?

Ok so I'm homeschooled and I'm behind in math right now im doing bob jones pre algebra and I'm joining public school in august and that's just enough time to finish my pre algebra book. And I have to take geometry in aug, I was goinig to hold myself back in math but I was held back in 3rd grade so I don't want to be 16 takeing 9th grade math, so that's not a option. But my mom says bob jones is a little ahead like in the book we learn basic geometric figures. I know it will be hard but do you think I will be totally lost in geometry? Please help
