Scientists did not create microbes like the natural ones
Scientists created droplets of self-replicating polymers (substances containing chains of a repeated molecule)
These polymers: cyclodextrins, crown ethers, calixarenes replicate droplets of themselves simply by electrically attracting more molecules of the same kind outside their droplets and forming buds out of them
They can also perform breakdown of molecules, oxidation on other substances like microbes do
But they don't have a separate cytoplasm, membrane, ribosomes, nucleus
They are spheres made of a single substance
So no, they don't disprove any religion.
And other experiments involved only changing or creating new DNA of natural cells, the molecule serving for reproduction in any cell
which didn't mean creating the full microbe
