I'm curious about some expressions I hear frequently in movies and video games used by soldiers and I'm curious about what they mean.
One example is "Oscar Mike." I know Oscar Mike is "OM" phonetically (I'm a pilot, so I know the phonetic alphabet), but that doesn't mean much to me alone. I believe one of the times I heard it was "Cover is Oscar Mike" or something.
Another is "actual." This seems to be something said by a remote observer or aircraft or something. I think I heard something like "3-2 actual," but I'm not sure.
Thanks.
