I know i should post this in the "track" section but i really want everyone's thoughts on this. I ran a track day at Mid-Ohio last Monday and the track was crap IMO, SCCA cars had ran the day before and left A LOT of rubber dust on the track. Here's a link to the STT (sportbiketracktime) forum who ran the event, I'm "FasDuc" and started a thread to try and rectify what i perceived as a problem.
For reference "brian.healeastaff" and "kiggy74" are control riders that work for STT and "STT Guy" is Monte, the owner. I think Monte was on the ball as usual but the other guys are coming off as pedantic and condescending. My description of the track conditions are not embellished nor am i denying the weather and temperature factors that others brought up, but......
Am i wrong in my thinking that we are paying customers out there on the track and should be taken seriously? Or are we track "students" that should follow blindly the opinions and observations of the event staff and control riders who theoretically are experts with more knowledge and experience?
Like i stated, the problem is being looked into with both Mid-Ohio and STT starting a standardized, post auto race/trackday, track inspection and FOD check.
