My mom had a crappy Nextel phone so I suggested she upgrade to a Blackberry Bold. When she got that, it had awful reception and she dropped at least 3 calls a day. She called Sprint and they said it was a dud blackberry so they sent her another one. When she got that one, the same thing happened. She called Sprint to cancel her service but we found out i have to pay $100.00 for an ETF. So another guy on Sprint talked her into getting ANOTHER blackberry, just a different model. They overnighted her a Curve. When I called to set it up for her, it said SOS for like an hour. The lady said "OH, you must not be in a good reception area" and i was like REALLY?!?!? but i new that. I then looked up online the map of coverage and Im in the "Fair" zone which is the lowest you can get. it says "Fair- You should be able to make calls standing outside, but not in a building or a car". AND THATS BULL CRAP!!! So im trying to see if we can get out of the ETF because of all these problems. AND the man at sprint told me im in the "Better to well above average range for reception". PLEASE HELP??!!
