Can I get out of my gym class with a parent's note?

i was wondering if i could replace my gym class in my sophomore year with another class and get my parents to sign the note?

do you think my school will allow me to transfer out of gym?

i really dont think gym should be mandatory
yeah exactly- its not like they can force me if my parents back me up i mena this is America
