I have lived with a man for 16 years. Their is a car that has his name on it,but also if he was to die the car would be given to me. I need to take the car to get away from the abuse. I can't do it anymore.The only transportation is the car. He has a company truck he uses.I'm so scared to leave with it it to go to a place. I have 48 dollars and my son.I'm so afraid to go to jail,if I took it. Their are no shelters with in a 60 mile Radius.I don't have 1 friend. My sister will take us in but she lives 1700 miles away. I get disability for my stage 3 bone cancer, and I get it on the first. I have a plan to take us o my sister's house.But he will send the police After me,if he can get me for stealing it.He is the classic everyone loves him and and does happen to know everyone. So I will look like trash. But the same people know me as his wife. When I am allowed to go with him to the store,it's "this is my wife, hear my wife to everyone" No one will help because of who he is. I was told once by a deputy that my situation is a "well known secret" Can I go to jail if I took the car? I can't have that happen.My son is 17 and is going to be moving to Pa soon anyway What can I do? Their is no physical abuse anymore, now it's all emotional and orders to be obeyed. Which is worse. Help please..
