Can I get in the military if......?

I had a nissen fundoplication as a child. Basically the sewed part of my stomach to my esophagus so i cannot vomit. I had this done as a child and have never had any health problems dealing with it. I mean i have played many sports in high school and it never was a problem. I figure if someone here could let me know so I don't have to deal with a recruiter calling me 24/7.
 
I had to ask my wife (an MD Psychiatrist) about this one. Apparently it is done to control extreme acid reflux. The surgery is considered to be totally corrective, hence not a factor in disqualification. I did notice that several active duty personnel have reported having the procedure done.
