Can I get fired if I didn't take a drug test?

The company I work for does random drug tests. That is fine by me, as I am always clean. However, Today, I began feeling extremely ill and try to hold out as much as I can. My illness grows to an overwhelming state, and I must leave. This has been the first time I have ever left early like this, and I have been there almost 3 years.

I begin walking out and I see them giving a random drug test. I am unsure if I was on the list, but I know this causes suspicion. I am clean, but I don't want them to think I am leaving to avoid the test. I may be overreacting, but one cannot help feel uneasy with the way things are going right now as far as the economy goes.

So, can I get into trouble? This is making my sickness get worse due to the worry.

Your illness is far more important than a random drug test. Many companies are enforcing new sick policies this fall due to H1N1. I already sent one employee home today for having a fever.

Well... Should you be?

Here is where I have a little problem with your question. You are asking this on YA!
Why not go to your boss and explain this instead of blasting it across the internet?
I mean c'mon... Really!
How about this part?
"This is making my sickness get worse due to the worry."
Really?
Why?
Dude... You will have to piss in a cup... HELLO!
This is making your sickness get worse?
This is making you worry?
Really?
Why?
Are you sure the part you're most worried about might not be something else?
Perhaps?

You can get fired for walking out regardless of the reason. If you have a contract you can enforce the contract. If there is no contract, then both parties are free to terminate the relationship at any time for any reason or for no reason.
