i work hard, i have an IQ of 116, i scored in the 98th percentile for my states standardized tests, but my gpa is pretty low. it was ok freshman year, but it dropped sophomore year, because of a lot of bullshit, a teacher that hated my guts, and the special ed that does nothing but hold me back.
because of hard work, i can make it through the special ed, but i have my average gpa so far(half way through junior year) at around 2.0. i can get it to 2.5 next year i hope, but will i be able to go to college if i do well on the ACT?
i am not in any sports, but my family is below the federal poverty line for a family of 4, which is 24k a year. but i cant get a scholarship because i don't play competitive sports, and i'm not a minority or female.
i guess its just a fluke then that i always score above 95% of people in my state on standardized tests.
i also go to one of the toughest public school districts in the country. someone getting a 2.5 here could get a 3.5 in another district.
