can i get android 2.1 on my droid yet?

i really want android 2.1, and people keep saying its coming out for droid and it should have come out a while ago. i got an update that has a gallery like 2.1 and came with stuff like goggles and news/weather but not much else. did it come out yet? if so...where do i download it? if not...when is it coming out? Will it have the interactive backgrounds? tell me tell me tell me!!!! thanks
