My family and I are on the same Family Share Plan for Verizon. One of the phones (not mine) just ended its 2-year contract. I know that you can buy any new phone a really discounted price when you get a new 2-year contract. I was wondering if I could 'upgrade' this number (not mine) to a Droid-- which requires a $30/month data plan 'feature'-- and then switch my number onto the Droid once I get it. If I do this, will the data plan 'feature' on the Droid switch over to my number with the phone? Or will it stay on the other number?
Can I get a new phone from verizon using a different a different number to upgrade?
