Can I get a Motorola Droid on Verizon without paying the extra $30 dollars a month on

internet? I currently have an Lg EnV Touch, and I want to switch to one of the Droids, but a rep. today told me it would cost an extra $30 a month even though I already pay for internet on my Touch. It doesn't seem right.

Are there any alternate plans? If not, can I take features off my current Family Plan to make it more affordable?
